According to Matthew, (Matt 1:6-17) Jesus' natural parents were descendants from the line of King David, and citizens of the Nation of Israel or Jews. The Jews were forbidden by the LORD to eat unclean animals in Lev 11:1-44. However, the reason God separated the animals was given in Lev 11:45. The LORD was telling them," I am Holy, you are my people, I expect you to be Holy as well!" It is so nice when God provides us with understanding to His commands. It makes following them easier. Since Jesus was a Jew, His natural parents were Jews. He was Holy, I do not believe Jesus broke His Father's Law. No, Jesus did not eat unclean. He did not eat swine (pork). Be Blessed Lena
Jesus said (as John recorded in his Gospel) that He had kept His Father's commandments (which include the prohibitions against eating unfit animals. Therefore Jesus never ate swine, dogs, cats, mice and rats, buzzards and ALL ANIMALS listed as unfit for human consumption -- though humans do and have eaten these things. Since He never sinned He obeyed the Laws of God (I John 3:4).
