As a physician the Apostle Luke must have had many conversations with Jesus' Mother to have given us such detail of the events surrounding Jesus' birth. As you begin to read the first couple of chapters of Luke, you can almost feel His disbelief change to total amazement, then rejoicing with the angels! In Luk 1:5, he begins telling of John the Baptist parents, Zacharias and Elizabeth. His father was a High Priest, serving in the Holy Place by the Golden Altar when he saw an Angel of the LORD. This Angel spoke to him and told him that he and his wife would have a child. (They were childless and old) The same Angel of the LORD went to a Virgin named Mary, telling her she would have a son, to call His Name Jesus for He would save His people from their sin. The Angel also told Mary that her COUSIN Elizabeth was with child in her old age. Luk 1:36 Mary went to minister to her aged Cousin about to have a baby. As soon as her greeting was heard by Elizabeth, John leaped in her womb and both the child and the mother were filled with the Holy Ghost. Luk 1:41 and Luk 1:44 This is said twice as a witness that the prophecy had indeed been fulfilled. This child was filled with the Holy Ghost from the womb. John received the Holy Ghost when the embryo of the Christ Child was carried to him by the Virgin Mary. He recognized Jesus Christ even from the womb. This is surely how John must have felt! The Creator had just entered! JOY! The Bible records he LEAPED for JOY! We should all get so excited to see and feel Jesus in out midst Modern scientist have proven that it is possible to communicate with your baby while it is in the womb. They suggest; play music, speak kind things, play educational things, speak soothing things to your child while it is in the womb. Scientist are convinced they not only can hear you but will respond to the stimuli. Be Blessed. Lena
