I found it odd that no men could answer this, so I searched and found many answers to this question.

1. "Love your wife as Christ loved the Church."(Ephesians 5:25) Risk your life to help or save your wife. Christ's love for the church is without limits, nothing is held back. He gave His life for the church - before you loved Him. His love does not depend on your love for Him. Under God's authority - love your wife as service--as giving your life to God.

2."Love your wife in the same way you love your body and your life."(Ephesians 5:28-33) You care for your body daily to be as well fed and healthy as possible. You quickly take care of any needs or desires. Any sexual desire as a husband should be cared for with your wife. In the same way, care for your wife's needs and well being. Feel your wife's pain and illness and rejoice in her health as if it were your own life. A husband must see his wife's sexual desires and make supreme efforts to meet those needs too. Basically, her need or desire whether financial, physical, emotional or spiritual in your relationship must receive your full effort. Only in this way can you love her and provide for her just as well as you do for yourself.

3."Be considerate as you live with your wife, with respect..."(I Peter 3:7) The Bible says that if we neglect this command, our prayers will be hindered! To be considerate, quit any irritating habits! When she needs to be helped carrying heavy items, do it! If she needs time you can take care of the family! Help your wife with all of your energy, show your love to her with all consideration. Pray to see where you may be inconsiderate.

4."Do not be harsh with your wife."(Colossians 3:19) When a wife is sensitive realize that harsh answers, angry looks, irritated tones of voice and impatience will deeply affect your wife. Rejoice that she is a lady and isn't like you - remember that she is a precious gift God has given you.

5."The husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife."(I Corinthians 7:3-5) Please your wife physically. Don't deprive her of what she needs. Sexual pleasure is something that is given, not forced or taken. Discuss what her needs are both inside and outside of the bedroom.

6."Rejoice in your wife all your life. Let her body satisfy you. Be captivated with her."(Proverbs 5:18-19)

I could find more, but I think these answer the question. Thanks.

In my humble opinion, I believe that RESPECT is the Word of the Day!

I am told by the Youth that I speak with, I am old fashion. I am. Freely admitting to this assessment. However, I believe that God wishes for us to respect His Property. To cherish and love what He has given to us.

Keeping in mind that we are bought with a price, and we are God's property, (1Cor 6:19, 20,) Extreme Caution! Why? The enemy of our souls (Ps 143:3) is constantly seeking to destroy the things that rightfully belong to God!

As I was praying about this question, I was reminded of Samson. He was a mighty man of God. He loved women. Strange women, not of his faith. He was not using Extreme Caution when he met Delilah. She used him for greed, power, position, and sexual pleasures. In the end, God was Glorified by Samson's life. What a horrible price to pay to lay your head in the lap of pleasure. Jdg 13:25, Jdg 14:3, Jdg 16:1, Jdg 16:4-6,16-31

Christian men today, must be even more cautious. While respect must rule in their hearts for God's property, they must truly see that all flesh is God's and act accordingly. Respectful, caring, and with PRAYER is the only way to approach any human today.

Respect is not a two way street. It must be given at all times regardless of the reception or the return. The idea that we somehow will only grant our respect when we feel it, must be the best lie the enemy ever thought up to destroy ALL interpersonal relationships! How can we be so deceived to believe this? Our Heavenly Father does not practice this with us. We should learn from His example.

How would we ever survive this life if God only loved us when we showed love to Him? If He only bestowed His blessings and Goodness to us when we praised and worshipped Him?
Yet, this is what we turn and say to each other, "I will only respect you, if you respect and honor me."

I Pray for my Brothers in the LORD, they have a very difficult job to do. Just keeping their mind on Christ throughout the day is hard enough without the added enemy attacks. I thank God He made provision in the Cross of Calvary!

Be Blessed
Lena

A Christian man should treat and act toward women with respect and the nine words that come with the Fruit of the Spirit, which God has given him when the Holy Spirit came to live in Him (Gal 5:22).

First you must understand who she is. She is God's daughter! How do you want your daughter treated? With respect, with love? As for me, she needs to feel protected and secure in her faith. I need to be unwavering in those things, of course.

A man would teach his wife and love on his wife with agape type love. He would be slow to anger and gentle to touch.

In regards to how a christian man should treat a woman:

As a christian, I try to respect all women, but I have felt there have always been two classes; those that are ladies and those that are not ladies. The major difference between the two is this: a lady is one who is respectful in the way she dresses, and the way she talks. It will always been a blessing to be in her presence. Those that are not ladies may need your help at times, and I believe we are obligated to give it. Sometimes, we may not want to be around them, but sometimes we have no choice, and when that is the case we need to tolerate them.

In 1 Timothy 5:2 Paul instructs Timothy to treat older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters. He also adds 'with purity'. These instructions in this chapter pertain to how we can help widows and needs that women have. There was no social security, no pensions, and no life insurance during this time period. When the early church reached out then their needs could be met.
