With my simple way of answering this question! Absolutely No,....absolutely not! The devil, Satan himself is the tempter, the deceiver, the lawless one, the creator of lies, the instigator of iniquity, the "Angel of Darkness", the Father of all evil and all of mankind's Number One ENEMY! "Death is present and exists because of Satan". In the beginning, man was created perfect and was intended to live forever, but Adam and Eve....well, "you know the rest of the story", as the great radio show commentator Paul Harvey used to say!

God does not tempt anyone to sin. The Bible makes a clear distinction between testing (which God allows for our growth) and tempting (which leads to sin and comes from Satan, evil forces, or our own desires).

Genesis 22:1 – God tested Abraham to strengthen his faith, not to lure him into sin. This was a trial of obedience, not a temptation to do evil.

James 1:13 – God is holy and does not tempt people to sin. Sin comes from our own desires when we let them control us (James 1:14-15).

James 1:2-4 – Trials refine our faith and build endurance, leading us to spiritual maturity.

Where Does Temptation Come From?

Satan – He tempted Jesus (Matthew 4) and tempts believers (1 Peter 5:8).

Evil Angels (Demons) – They deceive and lead people away from God (2 Corinthians 11:14-15).

Our Own Desires – James 1:14-15 explains that sin begins when we allow our desires to overpower our obedience to God.

How to Overcome Temptation:

Resist the devil (James 4:7) – Stand firm in faith, and he will flee.

Rely on God’s strength (1 Corinthians 10:13) – He provides a way out of temptation.

Stay rooted in Scripture (Psalm 119:11) – God’s Word helps us resist sin.

Pray for deliverance (Matthew 6:13) – Ask God to lead you away from temptation.

Temptation is real, but God is faithful. He allows tests to strengthen us but never entices us to sin. Instead, He gives us everything we need to stand strong!
