In my humble opinion this life will bring many tribulations that we must endure and overcome in such a manner that builds the faith of others who watch and brings glory to our Lord. (Job 2:10; Colossians 4:5)

That said how does one overcome life’s disappointments?
Spend buckets of money on professional advice or services and their medications sometimes if required. (Philippians 1:6)

This option of purchasing someone else a new BMW 7 series and hopefully viewing yourself or the world with some peace and a now flat wallet is one way.
But not every bruise requires emergency surgery, unless your bleeding out friend.

I submit for your consideration that within the pages of the Bible there are found numerous people with faults and life crushing disappointments that would warrant some serious couch time by todays effeminate emotional rescuer standards.

But once chosen, they were able to overcome their limitations by renewing their minds and stepping forward in faith with the fire of God’s Word. (Galatians 4:9)

Some disappointments and losses are very deep and do not heal with time as some are prone to say, but even these can be used for kingdom purpose and glory. (Isaiah 46:10)

In these one accepts the hand dealt and somehow with grace you come to terms with it, the best way you can on your daily journey up your mountain. There is a peace for believers in knowing that at some future time and place all your questions will be answered. When you view His perfect mosaic picture, on this point I pity the unbeliever for they will have nothing, but what might have been!(2 Corinthians 7:10)

Bottom Line

Disappointed with your life CHANGE IT and get on with your life as your burning day light. The wind and current are speaking friend, change your bearing and trim your sail to find the true wind.(2 Corinthians 7:9)

Provide any encouragement and help when ever there is opportunity the great reward is that it takes your mind off your own selfish thoughts, wants, problems and redirects your focus on the needs of others! ((Galatians 6:3)

When in a tribulation or an attack of sorts and ole disappointment comes knocking.
I do anonymous good deeds and you know what, these deeds make me feel so much better enduring my very small problems.

It's like spiritually punching the evil one in his funny face and he does not come around as much anymore as laughter is a great medicine, try it sometime.(2 Corinthians 11:6)

In reality we're all slowly dying as our limited and allotted time on stage expires, we are just one breath away from eternity. Be wise use your time wisely right now today as tomorrow is promised to no one!(Philippians 1:27)

In the Lord’s freedom always pushing for the mark ….warrior on

I too have endured pain and suffering in this life. When you're in the middle of this it is very hard to see the end. For me I bury myself in Christian music and gardening. God shows Himself to me this way. But what I've learned so far is too look for God while suffering and thank Him for this trial. Each time I've come through a trial I'm able to look back and see how God walked me through it. It has taught me to trust Him, to feel His love and exclaim "All is well with my soul."

I have three sons: one was born with mylomenigicel and paralyzed from the waste down from birth, another in and out of prison and a junkie, another who has nothing to do with me because I am a Christian.

My first son has passed over to the other side to eternity. I hope to see him in heaven again whole, but I will not know for sure until my time comes. I have told them all about Jesus and witnessed God's grace to them, but it is up to every man to work out their own salvation. (Philippians 2:12)

I can lead a horse to water, but I can not make it drink the water. I poured into them as much as I could when I could and tried my best to be the best father that I could with the time that I had, but ultimately they make their own decisions, right or wrong.

There are no promises in life that all will go well in life. You cherish the good and get through the bad with the help of our Lord. Some of us seem to have charmed lives, but I think you have to be in another's shoes to know for sure.

All I know is all things work together for good if you belong to the Lord and love him. (Romans 8:28) But you have to endure the bitter with the sweet. My oldest son's needs were always met and every hospital bill was paid.

My youngest son is a devout atheist, but I still love him and miss him. But Jesus did not come to bring peace but a sword, that division would come even between those you love. (Mathew 10:34)

I know that the love of my Lord surpasses all the disappointments and heartaches. And only he has carried me through much hurt and pain, and his love has been steadfast and his blessings both material and spiritually have sustained me through this life.

You have to keep your eyes on the promise that is coming. This life's problems are but a vapor of smoke but eternity is forever. (James 4:14) So always keep your eye on the prize of eternity in heaven with our Lord. For no one in this life has laid their life down for us as he has.

Praise our living God!

Disappointments are understood to be unpleasant and depressing human experiences of unfulfilled expectations. What we desire, hope for, plan for, and expect to happen may be realistic or unrealistic. Even when and where realistic, an expectation can be adversely impacted and frustrated by some possible, real, unforeseen, and unexpected circumstances. Also, inadequate preparation may contribute to the failure of fulfillment of one’s expectation.

Because of what a disappointment is, by definition, a rather obvious solution to the problem of overcoming disappointments in life is to manage wisely, or critically, one’s expectations. While it is reasonable to have expectations in life, consider that the person who has no expectations will suffer no disappointment! Since, more likely than not, we will have expectations and will be exposed to the possibility of disappointments, here are a few guidelines:

1. Be mindful of the bigger picture that includes unseen as well as seen realities. The seen should remind us of the very relevant unseen [Romans 1:20].
2. Make being in the kingdom of God and having the righteousness of Jesus your first and primary expectation [Matthew 6:33]. It is so important to have a kingdom-of-God mindset. It helps us to have God-pleasing desires!
3. With your kingdom-of-God mindset, pray: “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” [Matthew 6:10] That is so different from “My human will be done in heaven as it tends to be done on earth.”
4. Do not expect the fulfillment of GOD’S WILL to match your will or your expectation! You may be inclined to reject what differs from your human expectation [John 1:11].
5. Remember that “all things work together for good to them that love God” [Romans 8:28].
6. Remember that believers “walk by faith, not by sight” [2 Corinthians 5:7].

By just knowing that there is a reson for dissapointment. God will only give us what we can handle. If your journey was finished, he will call you to go home with him. We must make the best of what is before us.
