NIV - 1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God? 2 You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor.

"Flourishing olive trees that are fruitful and beautiful." --Wiersbe Fellow Dallas Seminary classmate, James R. Johnson, writes, "It takes ages for an olive tree to mature, but once it does it is almost impossible to kill. A tree will thrive and bear fruit for many centuries If it is completely cut down, it will sprout again from the roots. "The oil was also used to light the night and to dress a wound. It was even used as a body cleanser. An olive tree was an enormous source of blessing." My wife just bought some olive oil as it is supposed to be really healthy. You can use it in the place of butter. (We haven't opened the bottle yet, but we intend to). David likened himself to an olive tree--he lasted a long time even in the midst of great adversity. He brought light to the nation of Israel and all nations, really, through his writing of the Psalms. The Psalms sure light my night! Israel thrived spiritually under David for a long time. His writings also heal the wounded. I know that for a fact.
