I don't know who coined this Christian phrase. However, I do know the Biblical reasoning behind it: Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The word "Careful" in verse 6, means anxious or stressed. If we are giving our Creator the Praise and Thanksgiving that He deserves, we are truly to "Blessed" with the Peace of God that passes all understanding to be stressed or anxious about the little things in this world. 1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you When we truly give thanks for everything, the painful and the pleasurable things in our lives, we will be blessed with the Peace of God according to Phil 4:7 As to who actually coined this very popular phrase, someone else will have to shed light on. Be Blessed, Lena
