Did Jesus have evil desires and lust in His heart? 

Absolutely not! Jesus could never have betrayed His divinity by yielding to sinful carnal desires. 

Does it mean that His temptations were not real? Of course not! 

Scripture teaches that Jesus was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). This implies he suffered every degree of temptation that was humanly possible but at no time did He cede an inch to those sinful desires. 

He resisted Satan's attempt to obtain the kingdom without facing the cross (Matthew 4:1-11).

Perhaps the scripture that settles the question is 2 Corinthians 5:21 which says God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. The Bible here implies that up till Christ went to the cross He was perfectly sinless. He was without sin.

Jesus was the perfect Lamb of God who was slain before the foundations of the world and He alone was and is worthy to unseal the scroll (Revelation 5).

Finally, when Scripture speaks of Jesus as being the same yesterday today and forever, we can be assured that at no time would Christ misrepresent His divine nature as God. He is constant and predictable in His divine purity and what Scripture teaches about Him is true in every essence. 

This is because, as James 1:17 puts it, there is no variableness or shadow of turning with Him. 

I know that someone may argue that Jesus had a choice to obey or disobey God in His humanity. True, but the Bible teaches that Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death (Philippians 2:8).

My view is that even though His divinity and humanity was indivisible until Calvary when He took on a glorified body, Jesus chose obedience to God to fulfill His divine purposes. Jesus was therefore the perfect example of man. Unlike Adam who fell to sinful disobedience, Jesus obeyed God in all essence. The Bible further proclaims in Colossians 1:15 that Jesus is "the image of the invisible God"

He was and is and will forever be the perfect representation of God.
