A map comparing the borders of Canaan, as given in Numbers 34:1-12 and drawn in red on the map, with the modern borders of Israel can be found at the following web address: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canaan#/media/File:Map_Land_of_Israel.jpg In addition to Israel, the boundaries of Canaan on this map appear to include most of the modern country of Lebanon, as well as small portions of modern-day Syria, Jordan, and the Sinai Peninsula (which is now controlled by Egypt). The boundaries of Canaan also encompass the West Bank of the Jordan River, which came under the control of modern-day Israel in 1967. However, according to the map, the southern boundaries of modern-day Israel go beyond the boundaries of Canaan to encompass the Biblical land of the Edomites.
