There is not anyone that is a born-again Christian that can be an Agnostic, there may be a nominal Christian that can claim not to be totally sure about who God is.1 John 2:3-6.

2 Timothy 3:1-7, describes these type of people, who have a form of godliness but deny the power, and ever seeking truth and real knowledge, but can't find it.

Self-proclaimed 'Christian agnostics' generally believe that Jesus was a real person, but are not sure about the existence of God the Father, or are at least unsure that one can know anything about God's properties.

Despite the moniker, it is impossible for a true Christian to be agnostic about God's existence.

"Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do \not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, carrying out His work.…" Jn 14:8-10

The 'christian agnostic' might 'seek further proof' of the Father, but Jesus says that knowing Him is all one needs to know the Father.

"I have not written you because you lack knowledge of the truth, but because you have it, and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar, if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son can have the Father; whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.…"
I John 2:21-23

One cannot have the Son and deny the Father or be 'unsure' as to the Father's existence.

Other Christian agnostics do believe that Jesus is divine in some way, but not God; that God the Father exists, but one cannot know his properties; and do not believe the Holy Spirit is divine. This belief was systemized in the1965 book by Leslie Weatherhead, 'The Christian Agnostic.' Alongside the rejection of Christ and the Holy Spirit as part of the Godhead, Weatherhead also taught that Jesus was not sinless, merely morally superior, and that His death on the cross was unnecessary for God to save man.

'Christian agnostics' run into other problems as well. Often they believe that Jesus was a good moral teacher, but usually pick and choose what commands of Jesus to actually follow. They may or may not view Jesus as divine. They tend to view the concept of 'god' as up to each individual to make vs. God as a Supreme being and judge of sin.

Some notable christian agnostics through the years have described themselves as 'culturally Christian but spiritually agnostic' or 'a practicing but not a believing Christian.'
