I think the reason the Lord said so much about this is that He knows our hearts far more than we do. I like Paul have to say I can be content in whatever state I am. The Lord gives and He takes away and he knows how much is good for us at any given time. We should always thank Him for what He sends but remeber that He is the giver of all we have. It is much easier to trust the lord for our next meal when we have nothing. After we gain a little wealth we begin to trust more in ourselves. When I lost my second oldest Son to a motorcycle accident it tore my heart out. But I could still say the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, Blessed be the name of the Lord. We still need to learn this every so often just like patience and many other things. The Lord loves us to much to let us think we are in control.
When you have a financial crisis pray about it. God promised to supply all your needs. He answers prayers that have child like faith. Another key to the kingdom is giving. When you give sacrificially, you are always rewarded. I have never been disappointed when I have given to anyone. I gave my only watch away to my son when he got out of prison. That weekend at a flea market I bought three brand new watches, two in their original boxes for $5.00 for all. These were watches that I would have never paid retail for and that were beautiful, stylish watches. I am a clothes and fashion hound, but God blesses me beyond my own financial ability all the time. I give when the Holy Spirit prompts and I invest when the Holy Spirit prompts. Never allow fear to paralyze you when financial problems arise. Your Heavenly Father desires to take care of your every need; not your fleshy wants, but occasionally he even blesses you there, too. Being a good steward of all our Heavenly Father blesses us with is another key to the kingdom. Being thankful in all things is another important key of the Kingdom. Worship him even more when things are tough, but never stop praising and worshiping your God. This has won numerous victories for me. I have praised him through the storms of life to absolute victory. Remember a little is a lot in the Kingdom of God. Is anything too hard for our God to do if we just trust? With God all things are possible. Mathew 19:23-30 No! Nothing is impossible for Him to do. Remember the loaves and the fishes; that is the power or ability of our God.
