I have to dust and tidy up altar where divination, burnt sage and tarot cards are. When doing so I have felt demonic/dark sources. I also have to pick up her sex toys which are all about the home. This all disturbs me. Was I wrong to resign from this weekly cleaning assignment on these principles?

I humbly submit a question and a few thoughts for your consideration, would you be comfortable or okay with someone you love, say a daughter working in or around a tawdry "gentlemen's club"? Secondly would you first weigh the pros and cons or would you think; regardless of the pieces of silver, this is something not good their being involved with? (Exodus 23:13) "Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips. (Exodus 34:13) You shall tear down their altars and break their pillars and cut down their Asherim (1 Kings 21:23) And of Jezebel the Lord also said, 'The dogs shall eat Jezebel within the walls of Jezreel.' (2 Kings 21:6) And he burned his son as an offering and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger. (Isaiah 65:6) Behold, it is written before me: "I will not keep silent, but I will repay; I will indeed repay into their bosom (Ezekiel 6:13) And you shall know that I am the Lord, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountaintops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing aroma to all their idols. (Malachi 2:2) If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart. Repent and flee......... In The Lord"s Freedom choosing wisely.......warrior on
In my personal opinion, NO! You are not in the wrong to asked to be reassigned, to leave immediately the premises of such darkness. I can tell you from personal experience these individuals do not play in their craft. Just as true believers are very serious about the Lord Jesus Christ, they are very serious in their sin. If you felt demonic forces and presence in their home, they are extremely serious. Just as when you walk into a Christian's home you can feel the presence of the Lord and His Peace. Eph 6:12, plainly states we wrestle with the enemy. However, a hasty retreat can be the best defense. I would advise you to clean anything you took into their home very well making sure no ashes or talisman devices were placed in your things. (Even leaves, spices, a rabbit foot, anything... throw it out!) Ask Jesus to cover you in His protection, in His Blood. This is the only thing that protects us from Satan.. Rev 12:11. Blood of the Lamb! Be Blessed, Lena
Dear Anonymous, there is no need to panic and take extreme measures to purge yourself from any potential demonic exposure or contamination. Satan and his demons are present everywhere – when they were exiled from heaven, they landed on this planet (Rev 12:7, 8, 9). And for a little time longer, Satan is the prince of this world (2 Cor 4:4) – but if we remain in Christ we have nothing to fear – the devil has no power over God’s children (John 14:30; 1 John 4:4). In 1 Corinthians 8 Paul was confronted with a situation where some of the believers were uneasy about eating meat sold in the market fearing that it might have been sacrificed in pagan temples to idols. Paul's counsel was that Christians should not be fearful because “an idol has no real existence, and that there is no God but one” (1 Cor 8:4). He continued saying that if someone felt troubled about meat with dubious provenance, he/she should not eat it – also, if others who were not bothered by it should not eat it either as it might cause distress to a weak brother or sister and became a stumbling block for that person. In other words, a idol is just a lifeless piece of stone, metal or wood with no real power – but if someone is afraid or uncomfortable thinking of that idol, should stay clear of it. Please take the time to read the entire chapter 8 - it's a rather short read. Apparently you felt uncomfortable in that situation and there is no need for second guessing your decision. I'm sure the Lord, very soon, will open other employment opportunities for you - He watches and care very much for His children. 'Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb 13:5).
