One important subset of dominionism is replacement theology. This belief system postulates that the promises that were made to Israel were forfeited when the Jewish establishment rejected Christ. Besides being completely unbiblical [see Rom.9-11] this view is virulently anti-semitic and completely ignores the reasons WHY Jesus was born, crucified, and resurrected. "And if Christ has not been raised,t hen our preaching is in vain, your faith also is in vain." 1Cor 15:14 NASB In addition, dominionism invalidates Israel's divine right to exist as a permanent possession to the Jews {Gen.15:7} and, by extension, all who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior. Finally, Israel is central to all end time prophecy. We cannot save this fallen world as HE is going to judge and destroy it before creating a new, perfect, one.
