What does Psalm 119 say about delighting in God's Word?

Just one example of delighting in God's Word is Psalm 119:16

I find delight 1 in your statutes; I do not forget your instructions. 2

1 tn The imperfects in this verse emphasize the attitude the psalmist maintains toward God’s law. Another option is to translate with the future tense, “I will find delight…I will not forget.”

Psalms 119:14 - 99

ESV - 14 In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.

By my count, there are ten references appearing throughout Psalm 119's 176 verses that speak of the psalmist's delight in connection with some aspect or function of God's word or Law, thus making that delight one of the psalm's recurring messages or themes, as indicated by the ideas conveyed by those verses, as follows:

Psalm 119:14 (The way of God's testimonies [that is, learning the accounts of His works] is as great a source of delight to the psalmist as riches.)

Psalm 119:16 (Therefore, the psalmist will delight in God's statutes, and not forget His word.)

Psalm 119:24 (The psalmist delights in God's testimonies because they are his counselors.)

Psalm 119:35 (The psalmist delights being led by God in the path of His commandments.)

Psalm 119:47 (The psalmist delights in God's commandments because of his love for them.)

Psalm 119:70 (Unlike the insolent, who are unfeeling like fat, the psalmist delights in God's Law.)

Psalm 119:77 (The psalmist wants God to show mercy on him and let him live, because he delights in God's Law.)

Psalm 119:92 (The psalmist says that he would have perished during his time of affliction if God's Law had not been his delight.)

Psalm 119:143 (Even in times of active trouble and anguish for the psalmist, he finds delight in God's commandments.)

Psalm 119:174 (The psalmist's delight in God's Law is accompanied by a longing for His salvation.)
