I would say that the indications of having the living water of which Jesus spoke within you would be, first, being firmly settled in your mind that Jesus is who He said He was, and placing your faith in Him as the only means that God has provided for humans to receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Having that assurance means that you will not continually keep "thirsting" for other sources of "enlightenment" that cannot permanently satisfy those needs. The second indication would be the manner in which your faith is reflected in your actions, as well as by your desire to share your faith with the unsaved (which should be an eagerness on the part of all Christians, just as it was for the woman at the well in Sychar cited in the question). (This corresponds to Jesus' separate reference in John 7:38 to believers not just possessing living water, but being themselves a source of living waters that flow out of them in order to benefit others.)
