Only the 144,000 Jews, Revelation 7 will make it through the tribulation. All gentile believers will have to keep from taking the mark of the beast, Revelation 14:9-11 to be saved. Most will die one way or another during the tribulation either by starvation or beheading. The Jews saved during the tribulation will replenish the earth. During the 1,000 year reign of Christ on the earth.
Everyone who was ever saved, all who are being saved and those who will be saved had their names written in The Book of Life before the foundation of the world (Rev 13:8.) They were chosen by God in Christ before the foundation of the world, (Ephesians 1:4) and we were redeemed by the blood of Christ who was foreordained before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:18 thru 20.) "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." (Romans 8:29.) We were predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will." Ephesians 1:11. No one has ever "chosen God"; rather God has chosen us. "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit..."(John 15:16) "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:44.) "God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen." (Romans 9:18-22.) You might ask, “Why does God blame people for not responding? Haven’t they simply done what he makes them do?” No, don’t say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, “Why have you made me like this?” "When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn’t he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into? In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who are destined for destruction." So you see God is absolutely sovereign over absolutely everyone and everything including who will be saved and when they will be saved both before and during the tribulation.
