The Ark is last mentioned at 2 Chronicles 35:3 when King Josiah in 642 B.C.E. returned it to the temple. The Ark may have been removed by Josiah’s apostate predecessor, Manasseh, who put an image in the temple. Or perhaps the move had been for safekeeping during Josiah’s temple renovations. (2 Chronicles 33:1, 2, 7; 34:1, 8-11) What became of the Ark thereafter is a mystery, for it is not listed among the objects taken from the temple when the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem in 607 B.C.E.—2 Kings 25:13-17. The Scriptures do not say that the Ark was returned to the Most Holy of the temple rebuilt by Zerubbabel; nor does it seem that a replacement was ever made.—Ezra 1:7-11.
The Ark of the Covenant is NOW in God's Temple in Heaven, as seen by John. c.f. Revelations 11
The Ark of Covenant was hidden in a cave in Solomon's temple in Israel till date. This mystry happened during the conquer of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. Make a pilgrimage to Israel to cheque or proof my story. It is well.
If one understands the theology of the ark and it's significance, then one will see that ark was replaced by Mary. She contained the literal presence of God incarnate in her womb. Just as the ark was not to be touched by human hands so Mary was preserved from original sin. Saved ahead of time so to speak; because God works outside of time and space. only a most pure and perfect vessel was appropriate to contain The Incarnate One. Mary: the new Eve teaches us to follow perfectly her Son. The first Eve helped to bring death into the world. Mary does the opposite by bringing us her Son who is Life itself. This is why the Church has taught for 2000 years that Mary was ever-virgin. Tell me honestly all you guys out there, If you knew your betrothed was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit and bore the Son of God, would you really go near her in an intimate way. You see what happened to the man who touched the Ark to steady it from falling. It contained God's presence and did not need any help from men if it had been properly carried by the instructions given: on the shoulders of the Levites only. The levites were the Priests. Mary was raised in the temple among the priests and elders was well versed in scripture as she quotes it quite nicely in Luke when visiting Elizabeth. There is also a legend that states she and the other young virgin girls sewed the cloth or drape if you like that covered the holy of holies. That would be the same one torn from top to bottom at the moment of Christ's death and the earthquake. I could go on and on about all this typology but I'm tired and have to go to bed. goodnight and God Bless
There are enough tunnels under Jerusalem that it could very well be where the Ark of the Covenant is hidden. They will bring it forth at the right time. God loves the Jewish people with an everlasting love.
Matthew 11:11 Jesus is speaking and he says that no one born of woman was greater than John the Baptist, yet even those who are least in the Kingdom of Heaven will be greater then he was.
It's in a locked room in a museum in Egypt.
Some Jews believe the Temple will be rebuilt on the original foundation of the old temple (not the dome of the rock), when the Ark of the covenant is found off of Warrens Gate (a tunnel below the temple mount). Riots have ensued when attempts were made to access flooded caves/tunnels below the temple mount, because it violated both Islamic and Jewish laws stating infidels should not be allowed in (or below) holy areas. As a result access to the area was sealed. If the ark is found it would probably be a key element in rebuilding the Temple, and be the fulfillment of where the Abomination that causes Desolation would be placed, as noted in Revelations. Christians may also want to take note of the Islamic Prophesy of the 12th Iman, who will proclaim the true Jesus, as it parallels the teachings of the false Prophet and the Anti-Christ.
