What does 11:11 mean in the Bible?

"A popular superstition involves the number 11, which in numerology is a 'Master Number' signifying spiritual awareness or psychic intuition."

--Houdmann

Ecclesiastes 8:14 - 17

NKJV - 14 There is a vanity which occurs on earth, that there are just men to whom it happens according to the work of the wicked; again, there are wicked men to whom it happens according to the work of the righteous. I said that this also is vanity. 15 So I commended enjoyment, because a man has nothing better under the sun than to eat, drink, and be merry; for this will remain with him in his labor all the days of his life which God gives him under the sun.

Some believe that 11:11 stands for Jeremiah 11:11 and, possibly, other books with a chapter 11. They see it as a "wake up call" to pay strict attention to God; for God's wrath will soon show itself.

As far as I can ascertain from scripture, there is no meaning to 11:11 or, for that matter, 1111, which some think has to do with angels.

Numerology is a dead idea; theist and atheist alike understand that numbers are simply mankind's concocted symbols used to signify values recognized by other humans. Now, there are certain references to certain numbers having a specific meaning; like 666 or the number 7 in many places in scripture Genesis 2:2 Psalm 12:6 Matthew 18:22 etc. Thus, we see seven churches, seven spirits, seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, etc. But if you see the number 666 anywhere except on someone's forehead, I wouldn't place any scriptural meaning to it nor give it any importance other that what comes before 667 and after 665.

Some cultures have superstitions around certain numbers. Rarely will you see a 13th floor in a building in the United States. The same with the number 4 in certain Asian cultures. But the Bible has no like concerns with scripture.

Numbers are just that, numbers. Unless a specific number is contained in the Bible, those that have a specific purpose, it is not wise to designate something or call attention to numbers that can't be substantiated by God's word.

There is no special significance to it, as discussed at:

(This is the same discussion on Mr. Houdmann's GotQuestions? Site that is referenced in the question.)
