I would say that Christians should do all within their power to responsibly manage their own resources, recognizing them as a blessing from God to benefit themselves and others, so that they themselves do not become a burden on others or on society as a whole, and also so that they can share them in a discerning manner with the church for its mission and other charitable work, and also directly with those who are less fortunate. They should also teach their households and descendants those same values, in order to perpetuate them. Along with sharing resources, they should also at the same time spread the gospel message in order to bring those in need to Christ for benefits that will extend beyond this world and life, and that will last eternally..
