If we didn't "falter", then we wouldn't need God. The victorious Christians life isn't a life of success, prosperity and "victory" over sin and temptation, but a life of humility, brokenness and a complete dependence on God for everything, right down to our very breath. To live a victorious life in Christ means you rely on Him for your strength. You fall flat on your face in sin and you cry out to your Father to pick you up. You learn to live as Christ, not through your power and intelligence, but through complete surrenderedness to His will and power. If we rely on our own strength, then we will learn to never need Jesus, and we will set ourselves up to be completely deceived into thinking we're all that and a slice of bread! Yes, we falter, and yes, we fall and yes, we fail and sin, but if we admit our failures, our inadequacies, and cry out to God for help and deliverance, then that is when we truly walk in prosperity and victory.
