A study of 1 Cor. 15:35-55 will help us to understand that there is a difference between the natural body that Christ lived with and the body he resurrected with. There is a terrestrial body, which is the body every man was born with, and the celestial body. The body that Jesus resurrected with is a celestial body. It is also a glorified body. Jesus Christ, being the first fruit from the dead (Col. 1:18) is the only person so far who has ever resurrected with such a body. The body Christ resurrected with is immortal and is not limited by space or time. To buttress this, Lazarus and others who were raised from the dead resurrected with terrestrial bodies and later died again. The glorified body will be given to believers in Christ at the first resurrection (1 Thes. 4:16) Therefore there is a difference between the two bodies.
