How can any church perform a same-sex wedding? Isn’t it clear in the Bible that marriage is a heterosexual union?

The Bible consistently defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman. In Genesis 2:24, God joins Adam and Eve, saying they will become “one flesh.” Jesus reaffirms this in Matthew 19:4–6, pointing to creation where God “made them male and female.” This male-female pairing reflects God’s design for marriage and is foundational for procreation and the family unit. No biblical passage redefines marriage outside this male-female structure.

Therefore, I cannot see how any church can, in all good conscience, perform a same-sex wedding!
