Revelation 17:14 is part of the 2nd coming of Christ, in which he will defeat Satan and all his followers, both human and spiritual. Christians will be with him. Those who are "His called, chosen, and faithful followers." Those "Christians" may be ALL faithful followers, both the previously dead and the currently living (at the time of the great tribulation).

As for being "part of this war," Christ needs no human or spiritual help in defeating all of Satan's army. We will only be witnesses to his great power and his promises. We will not be fighting in the war as we do with humans on earth, with weapons or our bodies.

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."

Hebrews 1:3
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Philippians 2:10
So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

The power of Jesus, written and explained throughout scripture, is a testament to the fact that He needs no one or nothing to defeat the enemy. We will only be witnesses to his great power and witnesses to the fulfillment of all his promises. God bless!

Your question: Will Christians be part of this war? (Revelation 17:14)

Here is the verse you are referencing:

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings.”

You cannot leave out what was said leading up to this event. We see the beast with his ten kings’ alliance with him. This verse that speaks of the beast and ten kings making war with the Lamb occurs just before Christ returns. The second part of the verse is what will take place when Christ returns with his saints.

This verse represents a summarization of events not yet happened. But to fully understand this, you must know other scriptures. You cannot just take one scripture and look for its understanding without knowing what the beast and ten nations’ purpose is. You must come to know who is the beast first off. Then you’ll begin to understand the ten kings that join him. They will seek to destroy the children of God.

But in the end, Christ will destroy the beast and ten nations at his coming. So yes, many children of God will die during this time. Ask the Lord to give you understanding of the beast that rises from the pit. He seeks to destroy all those who refuse to worship him. Then you will come to understand this verse you have asked about more clearly.
