What practical steps can we take to seek wisdom "hidden in Christ"? James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. It is written that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Psalms 111:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. We can also read in Acts 9:31: “Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.” So what is wisdom? To know, you will need to read everything written concerning the fear of the Lord and how it applies to those in Christ. In one scripture, it says the fear of the Lord is to hate the following: Psalms 8:13: The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. These things are what the righteous hate. God’s Holy Spirit will not abide in the heart that possesses the things mentioned in verse 13; you must seek the Lord with a pure heart. As Christ said, Matthew 6:22: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. Then you will come to know the mysteries hidden in Christ, which is wisdom and understanding.
