What did Christ mean concerning faith in Luke 17:6?

Luke 17:6: And the Lord said, "If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, 'Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea'; and it should obey you."

Luke 17:6

ESV - 6 And the Lord said, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.

Daniel, Jesus was responding to the apostles request in verse 5, because they asked him to increase their faith. I believe that his response is the key to the answer.

I believe Jesus was telling them and us that the measure of faith that we use is not as important as believing that the words that we speak will come to pass.

God created the world by faith, knowing that His Word has power and will do (obey) what He commands.
