Being late or lateness. There is something in the Bible about it. Matthew 25:1-13 'The Parable of The Ten Virgins'. For those prepared late for the coming of the Bride were excluded from guest party. The door was shut before them despite many pleas. So if we are late in preparing for the coming of Christ on the Judgement Day then we are going to miss an excellent opportunity of entering the Kingdom Of God in heaven. The same heaven ' my Fathers House' which Jesus promised his disciples immediately before his ascension. It's not yet too late for you and me to receive Jesus Christ as our personal savior today.
In Luke 13:6-9, the parable of the barren fig tree, I think it is implied that the lateness not excused is the one of a Christian bearing fruit. You should increase your knowledge of the Bible without delay, and if you have gifts e.g. teaching, I think you should put them into practice for the benefits of others.
