God makes no mistakes. His perfection and greatness disallow mistakes: "Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom." (Psalm 145:3). In the original language, the w...

Our God is a supreme God. He makes no mistakes. He is perfect in every respect. Our God is Sovereign God. He directs the path of every individual. His self-existence, His sovereign rule of the universe prove that He is perfect. In Him nothing is untrue. In Him nothing is imperfect. He cannot lie and He will not commit wrong. His omniscience proves that He has perfect knowledge. His infinite knowledge demonstrates that He need not learn anything. He is immutable. He is indestructible and unchanging. He is holy and perfect.

In a short and somewhat different answer I submit: God is the Alpha and the Omega. There is none like HIM! He is the First and the Last! (Isaiah 44:6) God, simply is The Original and He created EVERYTHING! That being said, God is Perfect, without blemish, straight, true as in TRUTH, TRULY, TRUTHFULNESS and Pure DIVINITY, HOLY, and so beyond our perception, conception or ability to comprehend the meaning of the word PURE -or- PURITY! (2 Samuel 22:31)

God has no faults, impurities, imperfections nor blemishes! Simply, He is perfect in every way! The best way to understand this concept is this: GOD IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! (2 Samuel 22:31) (and, for our sanity, it is best we realize and try to understand that concept). For you and for me, it is best that 'we know that He loves you and me more than we could ever comprehend!

With all this being said, God does not, never has and never will make mistakes. He does tell us in Genesis 6:7 that "..He is sorry that He made man..." but He never made any mistakes and never will. Why? Well you may ask this question and you may somehow look at various situations and or people or circumstances described in scripture that might sway you into thinking that 'Hey, God seems to have made a mistake,'but, you would be incorrect!' Why is this so? Well, God tells us that "His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts." And, He also tells us that "For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the (His) Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 2:11) "God is perfect in all His ways." God is "THE ALPHA and THE OMEGA". He is "The First and The Last". He is PERFECT IN ALL HIS WAYS! Simply, HE IS GOD!

"Praise God that we have a Savior! And, His name is Jesus Christ!"

Matthew 5:48 KJV
[48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

2 Samuel 22:31-33 KJV
[31] As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. [32] For who is God, save the Lord? And who is a rock, save our God? [33] God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

There are many places in the Bible where it says how perfect he is.
There are other places in the Bible that says god is good.
Mark 10:18 KJV
[18] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God.

Genesis 1:4 KJV
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Genesis 1:10 KJV
[10] And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

I could go on but I have never seen in the Bible where God makes mistakes.

Think of the PRAYER some pray at supper time:
"God is good, God is great, thank you for the food on our plate. "

Look at Jesus, he was a perfect man.
Why? He was created in God's image. In fact, Jesus was God him self. GOD IS PERFECT and being perfect he made no mistakes.

God can't make mistakes. But ironically perhaps, He can feel sorry or regret about what He has planned. There are at least 4 instances I know of.
1. During Noah's time. Genesis 6:6
2. After the tragedy of the golden calf at Mt Sinai Exodus 32:14
3. Jonas' mission to Niniveh.Jonas 3:9
4. God was regretful when He chose Saul to be king of Israel 1Sam15:11

I have in my lifetime never known God to make a mistake. I have never read that He did, never have known anyone who claimed that He did. Sometimes, at first, I thought he did, but then afterward I came to see that, no, it wasn't a mistake. Here are some verses:

Psalm 18:30 ESV
This God—his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
Proverbs 30:5 ESV
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Now if God says that He never makes mistakes and the next verses say that He doesn't lie, and that He doesn't change, then HE does NOT MAKE MISTAKES.

Numbers 23:19 ESV
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
Malachi 3:6 ESV
“For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.
1 John 1:5 ESV
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Genesis 18:24-25 ESV
Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”
