Jesus claimed to be God, was killed because of this statement then proved it was true by raising himself from the dead.

Last I checked, all other people claiming to be deity are still dead.

In my opinion, what makes Jesus unique is that He is the one and only founder of any faith who was willing to go to the cross in order to accomplish His mission, which was to reconcile God to the human race. Philippians 2:8 says,

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death--even death on a cross!

The very first thing that you must realize is that Christianity is NOT a religion. If in your searching you find all kinds of religions you can forget every one of them.

Christianity is a one-on-one personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. He is the only One that guarantees eternal life. He does it without imposing commandments, rules and regulations. He does it without requiring a structured approach to salvation with no rules attached, and with no works that you have to perforn in order to remained saved once you have turned your life over to Him.

STOP wasting your life in "religion." Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Come to Him today: John 14:6, John 3:16-17, John 3:3, John 5:24, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:8-13. Sincerely embrace and confess Romans 10:8-13, then join a local assembly of born-again Believers who love our Lord Jesus and who will live with Him eternally.

In my opinion he is not a religious leader. He is the King in His Kingdom.
He came to this world as Son of Man (in human form) only to give the message from his Kingdom.

1.How to live in this world by loving your neighbor
2.Do not do anything to others what you do not want others do for you.
3.Forgiving others
4.Resurrection after death.

In my view what sets Jesus apart from other religious leaders is by the way he defines his relationship with his followers. First he declares that while other leaders lord themselves over their followers, he had come "not to be served but to serve" and to give His life as a "ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28.
Again he describes Himself thus: "I am the good shepherd who lays down his life for His sheep" (John 10:11) Therefore Jesus distinguishes Himself from other religious leaders because He came to give without receiving anything in return.
