What is a Christian life coach, and is the concept biblical? What a Christian Life Coach Is A Christian life coach helps believers grow in areas such as spiritual maturity, discipline, decision‑making, goal‑setting, and overcoming challenges. They offer guidance and encouragement from a biblical perspective, but they are not pastors, counsellors, or prophets. Their role is to help believers apply Scripture to everyday life. Is the Concept Biblical? The Bible does not use the term "life coach," but the function—believers helping others grow—is thoroughly biblical. Believers Are Called to Encourage and Strengthen One Another Hebrews 10:24 — Stir one another to love and good works. Galatians 6:2 — Bear one another's burdens. This is the foundation of Christian support and growth. Scripture Shows Mature Believers Training Others Titus 2:3–4 — Older believers teach younger ones. Proverbs 11:14 — Wise guidance brings safety. This is mentoring, which closely resembles coaching. Guidance Must Stay Faithful to Scripture 2 Timothy 3:16–17 — Scripture equips believers for every good work. Any Christian coach must remain under biblical authority, not personal opinion. Summary A Christian life coach helps believers grow by applying biblical principles. The Bible does not mention "life coaching," but it clearly supports mentoring, encouragement, and wise counsel. All guidance must be rooted in Scripture and lead toward obedience to God.
