What is the message that we can take from Exodus 1:15-22?

Exodus 1:15 - 22

ESV - 15 Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah. 16 "When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live."

The Hebrew midwives feared God more than they feared Pharaoh. Because of their obedience, "the people multiplied and grew very strong" (Exodus 1:20).

Why is this important? Because the next chapter introduces us to Moses, who then led the Jews out of Egypt to the promised land.

Our obedience and repentance is necessary for God's blessings to take form in our lives.

This is a very timely question and I humbly submit for your consideration. That to the Creator each and every life is a precious jewel blooming in the perfect season of HIS timing. Just what promise or purpose each life has been given, we humans with our simple minded ways can not know. But we should know this: EVERYBODY MATTERS or NOBODY MATTERS.

Bottom Line:
Consider our moral decline for having MURDERED (aborted) over sixty two million innocent children since the US Supreme Court gave their green light blessing to Murder Incorporated aka Planned Parenthood.
In Jeremiah's day they also had a palace of murder.
(Jeremiah 7:31; Jeremiah 7:32)

God remained faithful to his covenant with Abraham. God told Abraham his offspring would be as numerous as the stars in the sky (Gen 15:5-6).

When Jacob left Canaan his family was 70 people. When Moses led the nation of Israel out of Egypt 430 years later, they numbered in the millions.

It was through faithful people like the midwives that God fulfilled all his promises to Abraham’s descendants, including leading them back to the land he had promised to give them.

Nothing can stop God’s plan and purpose. No one can thwart God’s promises, not even the king of Egypt, the most powerful ruler on earth at the time.

We can put our faith in this God and trust him completely as he works out his plan and purpose in each of our lives.
