What will happen when Jesus returns?
What will happen when Jesus returns? Where will we go? How will we know where to go and what to do? Who will go to the Judgement Seat of Christ, and who will go to the Great White Throne Judgement? Will some that go to the Judgement Seat of Christ be cast into the Lake of Fire?

At the end of age, Jesus will return to judge both the living and the dead. Everyone will come before his judgement and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then he will say to those on his right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Then he will say to those on his left, "Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me." The unrighteous will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. c.f. Matthew 25:31-46

Jesus is the Great Judge in both judgments. He will decide where you go. You won't have to wonder. However, if you have been born again, if you are an authentic Believer in Jesus as Savior, having been drawn by the Holy Spirit to confess and receive Him, you will go to the Judgment Seat of Christ for entrance into your eternal home, Heaven, in eternal joy and peace. That will happen instantly following death or the Rapture of the church. (No one in that category will go anywhere near the lake of fire. They won't even remember that there was one)! Those who have failed to accept Jesus as Savior, having received the call of the Holy Spirit, will go to the Great White Throne Judgment, where they will enter into eternal separation from God, in agony. Some call it the lake of fire.
