What became of the Gentiles before Christ's death, burial and resurrection?

Scripture says they were without hope, without God?

Ephesians 2:12

ESV - 12 Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Gentiles existed before Jesus came to earth, they were Baal worshippers e.g Ruth. Let us remember that God's chosen people Israelites are the descendats of Jacob. God forbade the Israelites from marrying Gentiles and with intermarriage came the Samaritans referred to as Gentile dogs and they were forbidden to mix with the Jews. This is why the woman at the wrll question Jesus request for her to give Him water to drink. With His death and resurrection as was prophesied He broke down the wall of partion between Jews and Gentiles and extend the gift of Salvation to them

As it is written, after HIS crucifixion and resurrection, and before HIS ascension, Christ JESUS of Nazareth spent 40 days among HIS creation, including going down to the lower parts of Earth to preach to ALL who had not had an opportunity to hear THE GOSPEL of Christ JESUS. ALL creation is NOW without excuse, and after this temporary life, for ALL, their awaits one of two places where we will spend our never-ending, eternal life, FOREVER! WOE unto ALL who abuse Grace! They receive half of KJV John 1:17, basking in Grace, and rejecting Truth! Half-way salvation, accepting Grace but rejecting Truth, is no salvation. Luke 6:46 does testify, and on that great throne judgment day, when we ALL will bow and confess that Christ JESUS is Lord, "Depart from me" will verify!
