We must pray for them, correct them where they are lacking knowledge in GODs word and what is the stumbling block which made them fall from the word of GOD.

Pray for them. "The prayers of a righteous one avails much," and a Christian is the righteousness of God in Christ. 2 Cor 5:21 "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

Continue to be patient though you may not understand what is happening in their life. Love is patient, God is a patient father and we too need to be understanding and patient with our spouses.

Romans 2:4 "Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?"
The good things of God lead us to repent (change our minds) by our being good and understanding and not condemning or demeaning they see Gods love for them and will change their mind and turn around.
2 Cor 7:10 "For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death."

Though the following verses may not necessarily be in context they may help bring some encouragement and hope:
1 Cor 7:10 "To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): the wife should not separate from her husband 11 (but if she does, she should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband), and the husband should not divorce his wife. 12 To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. 13 If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. 15 But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called you to peace. 16 For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?"

Jesus said in John 17:26 "I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."

God's love will prevail as it always has and always will. It saved us from hell, and it will also bring back a wayward spouse.
