Is priesthood ordination necessary since God ordained us before we were born? I am not sure where you got the idea that we are ordained before we are born. I don't find that in the scriptures. Ordained to what exactly? When we are born we are in bondage to sin and need to be delivered by coming to have faith in the one whom God has sent with the message He gave to him to give to us, the message of the good news about the soon coming Kingdom of God of which Jesus will be the King of kings and Lord of lords ruling from Jerusalem, Israel. The scripture does say: Ephesians 1:4-5: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us [marked us out beforehand] unto the adoption of children because of Jesus the anointed one to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will..... This is talking about the corporate body that God had in mind to become His adopted children and does not means that all believers have been predestined or ordinated prior to their coming to believe in the lord Jesus and then become a part of those God had in mind from the foundation of the ages.... You go on to say: Was this statement only for Jeremiah or made to everyone alive? Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. This verse establishes that God in His Sovereignty can select a person from the womb of his mother to be an instrument for His service. Jeremiah was one of three who have the holy spirit from the womb. The other two were John the Baptist and Jesus the anointed one. Notice what Paul says: Galatians 1:13-16: For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: and profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when IT PLEASED GOD, WHO SEPARATED ME FROM MY MOTHER'S WOMB, AND CALLED ME BY HIS GRACE, TO REVEAL HIS SON IN ME, THAT I MIGHT PREACH HIM AMONG THE HEATHEN; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: So we see that God in His Sovereignty can intervene to call men/women to His service and establishes that while they are still in the womb. However, for most all believers that is not the case. We who are believers in the lord Jesus have come to him because we were called and chose to obey that calling and repent and be baptised and begin to love God and show Him how much we love Him by obeying His commands He has given to us through His beloved son Jesus the anointed one. Jesus says the same thing if we love him we will keep his commandments, the first to love others as he showed he did, by giving his life in order that we might have new age life, resurrection life. All believers are priests unto God and the offerings we give to our God are those of praise and thanksgiving for all He has done for us and will do in the future coming age. Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Romans 15:11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. Notice: Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. All believers are priests unto our God and Father. We are all equal in the anointed one Jesus. No one is above another in the anointed one. We all have received gifts of the spirit to go about to do what God has given us to do, but we do so as equals. Some are called to ministry, some to administration, some to healing, some to caring for their brethren...
