Jesus had to be crucified outside the city wall to fulfill prophecy. Jesus was the perfect lamb of God John 1:29. He did not come to do away with the law Mat. 5:17. And in keeping with the scriptures, the law required that the Passover lamb to be slaughtered outside the city walls Deut. 16:5-6. Hope this helps.
