Christians are called to be so many things: to be instruments of righteousness, imitators of christ, servants, holy people, do all for the glory of God, etc. However, what is the Christian's primary purpose? Is there a phrase that could sum up all of the things Christians are called to do?

Great question Gareth, one must have a creed that is the basis from which all of our mortal human thoughts and actions are generated from rain or shine 24/7. Deuteronomy 6:5 "and you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength" In other words be totally 100 percent committed to the Lord and His kingdom. Also remember that in the wilderness when Satan temped Jesus all the rebukes that sent the evil one running came from the book of Deuteronomy. The importance of this scripture can not be overlooked, maybe that's why it appears again with our Lord speaking in Mark 12:30 and then again in Matthew 22:37-40 with a further explanation. For me this scripture fits like an old glove and over the years has brought balance and meaning for many of this life's tribulations, choose for yourself something, as there are storm clouds and things that will befall our land in due time. In the Lord's freedom and great mercy................warrior on
To operate in love. When you do this everything falls into place. Strive for that and all the things you mentioned will naturally fall into place. That's my belief
In my opinion being a Christian means that we are made in the image of Christ, which means we should do the things that He did, also we should further the Kingdom of God.
