Was David Wilkerson a real prophet?

Jesus said that they would be 'known by their fruit', and, as far as I know, he preached a very biblical message, even against the 'prosperity-gospel'.

David Wilkerson was a pastor who became involved in bringing to the Lord members of many New York gangs.
The message he preached was so powerful that many turned their lives around, accepted Jesus as their Savior and became pastors themselves.".

I had the privilege of meeting his son and he is continuing his father's work with the same commitment.

If you would like to find out more about his work, start with reading "The sword and the switchblade".

David Wilkerson definitely was not a prophet same as Billy Graham was not one neither.

David Wilkerson was a humble Pentecostal pastor who had a great passion to preach the Gospel to the lost gangs, after reading about them in the newspapers. He practiced what he preached. In other words, he told it like it is.
If you wish to hear some of his sermons, go to 'you tube' and research "Times Square Church". Like all pastors who have had, and have, a successful following, you will find others who suffer from 'spiritual jealousy' and will spread 'gossip'. Jesus said, "By their fruits you will know them." Where were these 'gossip mongers' when the gangs needed the Gospel?
Davey was a true man of the cloth.
