I was diagnosed bi-polar/manic for years and took medications for it. In my experience, it is not a disease. It is a spiritual issue. All the medications and treatments did very little to help me. They only kept me from addressing deeper issues. I believe that God can heal all the parts of your mind and soul. Read Mark 5:1-20. The guy was filled with Legion (demons) and was probably bi-polar x1000. But after an interaction with Jesus, he was sitting fully clothed in his right mind.

If I look back at the times when I was in need of medication and treatment, I was dwelling in some kind of sin. In other words, I opened the door up for satan to come in and torment me. Some people believe that medication is good in order to quiet the demonic voices long enough to give that person deliverance. Bottom line is it can be fixed, and the only solution is Jesus.

Here is an interesting story. When I finally decided to start trying to go back to church and fight bi-polar, as I pulled into the church parking lot and began to step out, I started vomiting profusely all over the parking lot. My son was with me. I felt perfectly fine up to that moment and even after (it didn't stop me from going into the church building, but I was a little freaked out). I know that day, I vomited out the demons that were tormenting me because they didn't want to have anything to do with Jesus.

There is no question that I truly believe the diagnosis of bi-polar is demonic and needs to be handled in the realm it comes from (spiritual). Fasting, prayer, gathering with the Church, reading the word and confessing to other brothers and sisters is essential in getting a handle on this. Feel free to comment with any questions. I would be happy to answer.

When Jesus said sick people need the Dr. I know he referred to himself, so we all need Jesus. I also believe in the physical need for support, an earthly body can benefit from an earthly (well trained Dr.) We are spiritual beings encased in fallible earthly vessels, subject to mechanical/neurological disorder. Yes Jesus can heal anything wrong with us, I believe He will use any means He sees fit to do that, including several medical and psychological practices. God bless you as you allow God to direct you to the best venue for Him to heal you. Luke 5:31-32, Matt19:26
