But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
2 Peter 2:1
NKJV - 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

False prophets and homosexuals are called dogs in Scripture (Dt. 23:18; Isa. 56:10- 11 Php. 3:2; Rev. 22:15). Jesus predicted many false prophets who would show great signs and wonders to deceive people just prior to His coming to earth again (Mt. 24:24). Paul predicted the coming of Antichrist with all power, signs, and lying wonders by the power of Satan (2Th. 2:8- 12 Rev. 13:1- 18 19:20). For this reason they warned the people of God against "another Jesus" and "a different gospel" and "a different Spirit" (2 Cor 11:4). Three purposes of God in letting false religions, false prophets and satanic powers operate: 1. To prove people (Ex. 16: 4) 2. To see if people will love God with all their heart and soul (cp. 2Cor. 11: 18- 19; 2 John 1- 11). 3. God allows deceptions if someone rejects the truth. Example. Ahab was in rebellion against God and in league with idol gods, listening to their prophets instead of the true prophets of Jehovah. Therefore, God allowed him to be deceived instead of saving him from it. There was very little that could be done with such a stubborn man. Micaiah had been sent to Ahab, but the king wouldn't receive God's instructions. Ahab thus clearly illustrates 2Th. 2:8- 12. Because he and his associates had no love for the truth that they might be saved, God sent them a strong delusion that they should believe a lie. God permitted such deception to take the place of rejected truth. If men will not receive the truth, they will automatically get a substitute that corresponds with their wicked ways. Ahab wouldn't listen to Jehovah, but he would listen to the prophets of Baal. This gives an insight into the spirit realm, showing that behind all human acts there are good and bad spirits working to carry out the respective wills of their masters. The Lord protects as long as He can, but when there is nothing else He can do to turn men from their wicked ways, He lets demons deceive them, causing them to go further astray. Eight Commands-- False Prophets and Religions 1. Do not hear or follow any religious leader who seeks to lead you away from God and His Word (Deut. 13: 1- 3). 2. Do not fear them (Dt. 18:20- 22) 3. Walk after God, fear Him, keep His commandments, obey His voice, serve Him, and cleave to Him (Deut. 13: 4). 4. Put the false prophet or dreamer to death if he has tried to turn you away from the Lord (Deut. 13: 5). 5. Do not provide places of worship for them (Dt. 16:21- 22) 6. Put away all evil. Even if your closest relatives or friends try to turn you from the Lord, do not give in to them, hear them, pity them, spare them, or conceal them from punishment of everlasting hell. 8. Kill them by your own hand being upon them first, and then the hands of the people. Stone them until they die, because they tried to lead you astray from the Lord (Deut. 13: 9- 10). This was the commandment in OT. As we are living in NT days, we should avoid them or prevent them
