How should a Christian view the events in Iraq?

Could they be related to Islamic eschatology? http://youtu.be/2sci_WFp8ec

Great question I humbly submit that as Christians, we should view the convergence and daily unfolding of world events with little surprise, unlike everything the current administration seems to. Luke 12:56

Scripture speaks of our current times and their signs and the first item on the Lord's list to mark this age was deception, the main tool of the dark kingdom.
Matthew 24:4
Mark 13:5
Luke 21:8

Current world leaders chase peace where no peace will be found, and make foolish deals with oppressors and murders. These deals are so wonderfully great, they won't share them with their people and blindly believe that a pay day will not come for their foolishness. Reference Proverbs 22:3..and then Proverbs 27:12

We wait on the coming true prince of peace and some wait on the coming prince of war as their eschatology is 180 degrees from true. Mark 4:11. Luke 8:10

Just as a worker looks at a wall clock counting the moments until the day of toil is over and he can go home to those he loves, we too should be at peace and know that the time for labor is short. Luke 18:8

In the Lord's freedom let no one deceive you.............warrior on

I'm sure they are related to Islamic eschatology if you believe in Islamic eschatology.

More likely though, the things happening in Iraq are simply the things happening in Iraq. Just like the things that happened during WWII were just the things that happened in WWII. Just like in 1948 and in 1968 over in Israel were just things that happened.

Personally, I find projecting current events into eschatological passages usually ends up making the Christian look silly.

But of course as a partial preterist, I would think that =]
