The Chronicles of the Kings of Judah is reputed to be one of the Lost books of the Old Testament. It is first mentioned in the Bible in 1 Kings 14:29. To quote from that passage, "Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?" The book was reputed to give an account more detailed than space would allow in the Tanakh (תנ״ך) or the Mikra (מקרא) (The Hebrew Bible). It is highly unlikely that a copy of the Tanakh exists today--but archaeological excavation continuous at a steady pace. Perhaps another Dead Sea Scrolls--"Qumran Caves" style find--is in the future...
