The first thing to remember is that it is not we who provide for our families, but it is God. We work because work is good and God created us to do work. God gave Adam a job prior to the fall. Work is good. But it is God who ultimately provides for us, not ourselves. So I think the first thing in dealing with this very difficult situation is understanding our role in work and God's role in provision. Next thing, is to pray, and pray a lot. It is possible that this is what God wants, and it is also possible that this is something that God does not want, and that faith will be tested by not transferring and having to rely on God while searching for a new job. Definitely not an easy situation. Best thing to do is pray, pray, seek guidance, and pray.
