Being wrathful is shown by an infuriated sinful nature and thus is simply inexcusable (Genesis 4:5; 49:7; Proverbs 19:19; Job 5:2; Luke 4:28; Galatians 5:20; Ephesians 4:31; Colossians 3:8). That’s why man is prohibited to let wrath show itself in his life. He shouldn’t “give place to wrath” (Romans 12:19 margin), nor should he permit “the sun to set upon his wrath” (Ephesians 4:26). He shouldn’t be angry with his brother (Matthew 5:22), only seek to agree with him so that the judgment set for the wrathful will not fall on him (Matthew 5:25, 26). Especially this being wrathful is not permitted in the formation and rearing of a family (Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 3:19). Anger, at all times, is banned (Numbers 18:5; Psalms 37:8; Romans 12:19; Galatians 5:19, 20; Ephesians 4:26; James 1:19, 20).
