Such as, how might a simple gospel sermon be constructed for giving in a newly formed church?

There are two good ways that I like to use, that use scripture to present the Gospel, simply and easily. I say this, because up until about 7 years ago, I never knew how to really share the Gospel with anyone. That was until I watched someone do it. One way is by using the Romans Road- specific scriptures in the Book of Romans as a Gospel presentation. It starts with verse 3:23- "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." This verse gives nobody a pardon- no one is good enough. (You can also point to verses 3:10-12). The next verse on the road is verse 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Sin has consequences- eternal death, but through Jesus, we may have eternal life. Moving on to verse 5:8- "-but God shows his love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This piggy-backs off verse 6:23, that Jesus is the way, and why. We do not have to stop sinning (which we can never do) in order for God to love us. He took our punishment of death for us, even while we did not deserve it. Jesus paid the price for what we earn. He died the death that we all deserve. Romans 10:9- "that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Because of Jesus taking our punishment, we are able to confess that Jesus is our Lord, and that we will follow Him only. That is for us to speak and act out loud, but when we believe in our heart, not just our mind, that God raised Jesus from the dead, it means that we believe he actually died. And if Jesus died, he died for a purpose- to glorify God, and to take our punishment. Belief in our heart is between us and God- no one else. It is the intimacy that he desires us to have with him. Finally, verse 10:13- "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." This continues 10:9- confessing and believing. There are other Romans verses to continue with if needed, but these are the most simple and point to salvation through Jesus and not our works. A second way to share the Gospel is that there is 4 parts to remember: 1. Judgment- Hebrews 9:27- "And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and then comes judgment," and Romans 2:16- "on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men through Christ Jesus." We will all face judgment from God. And the judgment does not stop at what you have done in public, God judges our secrets too- the ones we hide from people. This is bad news for us- our secrets condemn us. Romans 6:23 is good to add here too. 2. Repentance- God gives us a chance to repent, or to turn away from our sinful life and turn back to God. Matthew 4:17, "From that time, Jesus began to preach, saying 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'" How do we have the chance to repent? Prayer? Good deeds? 3. Death on the cross- 1 Pet 2:24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." Jesus took our place for the death we deserve. 2 Cor 5:21- "God made him who had no sin, be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." Heb 9:28- offered once to bear the sins of many. 4. Resurrection- Jesus rose as proof that he died our death. Anyone can take a punishment for someone else. They can even sacrifice their life for another. But, it is not for the forgiveness of sins, for all eternity. Jesus died to take the punishment for what we deserve, and the proof that it was done and available for all mankind, he brought himself back to life to show that he died one time for all. Heb 7:27- "he did this once for all when he offered himself up." Jesus' death paid our penalty, but the proof of that is his resurrection from the dead. Again, these can be pretty simple, pointing to someone's need for salvation and escape from God's judgment and wrath through Jesus.
God's plan of Salvation: First: God Loves You. (John 3:16) Second: Man is a sinner, and his sin has separated him from God. (Eccl.7:20, Romans 3:23) Third:Jesus Christ is the only remedy for sin. (1 Peter 3:18, Acts 4:12) Fourth:You must receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. (John 3:3) We invite you now to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. (John 1:12) Pray this prayer and mean it with all your heart: "Dear Lord Jesus, I now realize that I am a sinner,I accept the fact that you died for me on the Cross of Calvary. I now open my heart's door and receive you as my Saviour and Lord of my Life. Please take full control of me and help me to be the kind of Christian You want be to be. Amen".
