Assuming that the Mary in question is the mother of Jesus, yes, she was a Jew. 

In Matthew 1 and Luke 3, two genealogies of Jesus are given, going back to King David because Jesus was to be from the lineage of King David, so both the lineage of both Mary and Joseph were given. 

The prophecy was that Jesus was to be a descendant of King David, and for the Jews, lineage meant a whole lot.
