Well honestly, it gives some very explicit instructions in the first give books of the Bible. Known as Torah (which means instructions in hebrew), Sommer may believe that Jesus came to abolish the law but he him self said "I didn't not come to abolish the law but fulfill it." Also to me law is the wrong word the transliteration of the word Torah is instructions so it is my current belief that to live for God we must follow Torah after all Jesus WAS Jewish

Jesus did fulfill the law perfectly. He obeyed the Father God exactly in everything He did. That is why He can be our sacrifice for sin, and why we are no longer under the law but under grace.

If we could obey God perfectly then Jesus would have never had to come. But, since we are all sinners we needed a perfect sacrifice for our sin and Jesus is the Lamb that was killed for our transgressions of the law.

When we put our faith and trust in Him He becomes our Savior from obedience to the law. Jesus said that no one will be saved by obedience to the law because no one can obey it perfectly. So as our Savior He fullfulled the law because we could not.

God requires perfect Holyness from us to be saved and go to heaven. But none of us are perfect. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We all continue to sin but we are saved by the Grace and Mercy of God and we are no longer under the law for salvation. Praise the Lord He did fullfill the law so we don't have to inorder to go to heaven because He gave us His perfect righteousness in place of our unrightesness as a free gift.
