How does the Spirit intercede for us with the Father?

Romans 8:26

AMP - 26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

I think what the meaning of the Holy Spirit interceding for us with the Father means is that the Holy Spirit puts the right words in our mouth. Many times in the bible, we are told not to be afraid for the words that must come out of our mouth at times when we speak for or with the Father is given to is by the Holy Spirit. For me, I found praying difficult many times. When I got down on my knees to pray, I found myself at a loss for words. I am truly thankful for everything God has done by my prayers have begun to sound like recitals and repititions rather than a true prayer from the heart. At that moment, I pray for the Holy Spirit to intercede. The Holy Spirit knows our thoughts and mindset so well, He knows what we want to say and need to say even when we ourselves do not.

I find at times there is so much on my heart to pray for. All the needs, causes and people I want to pray for I just get frustrated. God seemed to be telling me to quit talking and just listen. I then get off my knees, lie down to clear my mind and just ask, 'Dear Lord Jesus, what do you want to say to me?' Scripture begins to come to mind, something Jesus said, a Psalm, a Proverb and I begin to just rest in Christ. This is how I believe the Holy Spirit is praying through me. I believe this because it gives me incredible peace and I know that all the things on my heart are known to God and He has it under control.

Romans 8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The Holy Spirit that helpeth our infirmities and maketh intercession to God the Father, is to those who have a “broken spirit, and a broken and a contrite heart in them.” (Psalm 51:17) The Spirit that helpeth our infirmities led the “publicans and sinners” to our Lord Jesus to hear Him. There were many “Pharisees and scribes” who murmured, saying, “This Man receiveth sinners and eateth with them.” Lord Jesus then said unto them, "I say unto you there is joy in the presence of the Angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." (Lk 15:1-2,10) The ones who trust in themselves as righteous and despise others are like Pharisees. When two men went to pray in the temple, the Pharisee prayed with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men. The Publican who stood far off smote his breast, saying, "God be merciful to me, a sinner," and this man went down to his house justified. For everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. (Lk 18:11,13-14)

As the Spirit helpeth our infirmities, for at times we know not what to pray, the Spirit that maketh intercession leads you in the right wisdom. There was a man who was brought to our Lord Jesus, who was sick of palsy (paralytic), lying on a bed. Lord Jesus then said to him, "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." There were certain scribes who then said within themselves, "This Man blasphemeth." Lord Jesus, knowing their thoughts, then said to them, “Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?” For He then said, “The Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins,” He then said to the sick, "Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house." He arose and then departed to his house. (Mat 9:2-3,6-7) Lord Jesus, being born of the Spirit, knows the thoughts of our mind. He that searcheth the hearts, God the Father, knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit, maketh intercession for the saints that is to us, according to the will of God the Father. (Rom 8:27)

The Holy Spirit and our Lord Jesus, who is even at the right hand of God the Father, who also makes intercession for us today. (Rom 8:16,34) For this interceding, one needs to discern not to be in the flesh, but be with the Spirit of God who dwells in you. For then Christ, Lord Jesus, shall be in you, for your body is dead to sin, the Spirit of God is life for your righteousness. The Spirit of God, that raised up our Lord Jesus from the grave, dwells in you, shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that shall then dwell in you. As the Publican who prayed to God the Father to be merciful to him, went home justified. (Rom 8:10-11/Lk 18:13-14) Today, we are the sheep of “His Fold, Lord Jesus,” for He knoweth His sheep for “He is our Good Shepherd.” The other sheep that are not of His fold, them shall also He bring, and they shall hear His Voice, and there shall be one-fold and one Shepherd. (John 10:14-16)

Revelation 21:3: And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
