Should we love our neighbor as much as we love God?

For according to the teachings of Jesus, you can't claim to love God if you do not love your neighbor. For the love of God should be mirrored in how we relate with the neighbor. Yet how is one to manage this without err? For one could be compromised to think that by expressing their love for God, they have no obligation to the neighbor. Yet the desire to express the love for the neighbor could compromise one in how they relate with God. Where should the balance be?

Mark 12:30 - 31

ESV - 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.

No, a person should love God above all. You can love a neighbor as you love your self, because the love for your self should be less than you love for God. You should love the Lord thy God with all your heart and with all your strength and with all your might. You should have no other God before Him. You should love thy neighbor as thyself. If you follow this two commands, you will be doing God's Will.

The Bible tells us "to love our neighbor as we love ourselves". We are to "love God" with every fiber of our being; that is to say, "with all of the true worshipful love we can muster inside of our hearts and mind." He expects our love for Him to be our greatest love! This type of love is to be given, from inside the deepest part of our eternal soul with a deep(on purpose!) felt conviction of the deepest love and adoration we can mentally think on. This type of or highest level is the "very best we each can hope for or think in our service to the Lord!" ~~Andy~~

The Bible tells us "to love the Lord with all your heart, with all your might and with all your strength." We need to understand that "God is a jealous god and "He is righteous and just to want us to love Him with all our being because He is deserving, Just and Holy".
May we sing all praises and Glory and Honor unto the Lord, forever and forever! Amen and AMEN! --In His Service and Praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Andy--
