ADD/ADHD is a supposed medical excuse for children who are difficult to deal with. It doesn't exist. Find something that folks who have been diagnosed with this "disorder" and they will become very "normal".
The reason for my position is that I am 69 years old and I have never known or heard of anyone who was misdiagnosed. If the "Doc" says you got it, you got it. I have friends and family who have been misdiagnosed with all kinds of real medical ailments. Not ADD/ADHD.
My youngest son is 36 yo. When he was a freshman in high school he was diagnosed with ADD, OVER THE PHONE!!!!!! Yes, you read that correctly. OVER THE PHONE! He has a job now writing computer programs. Thankfully he never took the "medicine" because it made his stomach hurt.
When in high school, he could play video games all night, literally. Yet the Dr.s said he can't concentrate.
