I might liken this to the 'holy fire' of the Spirit and as a corollary, the true sabbath rest which is in Christ, the 'day of salvation' as it has been since the day He was pierced for our transgressions, risen, and the Holy Spirit was poured out.
Not to 'make a fire' on the sabbath could very well refer to false fire, offering to God 'false fire'. That is, rather than being filled by the Holy Ghost, holy fire, we work up our own fire, and give that to God.
Rather than 'look on Him whom we have pierced' (Zechariah 12:10) and receive the spirit of 'grace and supplication', we work ourselves into a hype or religious zeal through music, or any other stimulus.
Although this is not to be taken dogmatic, I find it very parallel to blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and notice the passage, if you do kindle a fire on the sabbath, the penalty is death.
God bless you all brothers and sisters. Press in, press on, Jesus lives, and He reigns!
